![]() ![]() And even then just find a Riven buddy to give you a gentle nudge in the right direction rather than a direct hint. I would suggest trying to avoid using a guide or hints unless you're frustrated to the point of wanting to quit. I'm just upset that the same feeling is ruined for me with Myst for how many times I've cheated my way through. I think if i complete Riven without the use of hints, it will be a satisfying experience. I've been stumped hard at a few of my tries of playing it as an adult and never kept up with it on trying. I really enjoy the aesthetic of Riven, but maaaaan, that game is haaaaaaard. ![]() I've heard many people state that Riven is the absolute best in the series, and I hope to confirm that soon, after a hopefully successful play through at some point in the near future. Uru - Tried to play this as a teen, but my computer was not good enough, so I couldn't give it a fair chance.īasically, what are your opinions on all of the Myst games, and which would you say is the best and which would you say is the worst? I think nostalgia and knowledge, so far, has me ranking Myst as my favorite, but that's only because I can play it and complete it with little problems. Revelation - I have never played or seen any of this game.Įnd of Ages - I started to play this game a few years ago, as an adult, and completed the first Age with very little difficulty, thought it was too easy, and stopped playing. It's been a while, but I'm confident i can complete this game without major hold ups. I can easily enter each of the three main Ages with very little confusion. I plan on playing it again very soon, and giving it an actual try as an adult.Įxile - I remember fairly big chunks of this game from using a guide as a teen. For whatever reason, this game's procedure escapes me. Riven - This game I definitely remember using a guide, but i remember almost NOTHING about it. I definitely have to take notes when I play because it has been a while, but its not a challenge to me after having my hand held many times. Myst - I played through this game the most, and after using the guide as a teen, even today, I can easily complete the game with very little difficulty. I discovered the series through a friend's father when i was maybe 12 or 13 (which i think was way too young too actually appreciate the games) and ended up playing through the first 3 with the extreme use of guides. It's been quite some time since I played through any of the Myst Games.
